The MediCampus Europeo (MCE) offers students a unique opportunity to study in the heart of Malta, combining academic excellence with an inspiring Mediterranean setting. Located in Casa Leone, a beautifully restored historic building in the peaceful town of Floriana, the campus lies just 800 meters from Valletta, Malta’s vibrant capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This location allows students to immerse themselves in both the island’s rich cultural heritage and its dynamic academic community, creating an environment where learning and personal growth naturally extend beyond the classroom.

Fully renovated in 2017, Casa Leone preserves its traditional Maltese architecture while offering modern, functional spaces tailored to student needs. The campus spans five floors and features a panoramic rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, complete with a bar and cafeteria – a perfect place to relax and connect with fellow students. Inside, MCE provides excellent facilities including air-conditioned classrooms, a large lecture hall, fully equipped laboratories, study rooms, a library, and comfortable leisure areas. These facilities ensure that every student enjoys a balance of rigorous study, hands-on practice, and a vibrant community life.

The Medicine program at MediCampus Europeo [MCE] is a 6-year full-time program taught in English. It combines modern theoretical education with extensive hospital and clinical practice.

The tuition fee is 14500 € [if payable in 1 installment] or 15500 € [if payable in 2 installments].

3. exams & enrollment dates

At MediCampus Europeo (MCE), general admission requirements depend on whether you are an EU or a non-EU citizen. If you are a non-EU applicant, you must contact the MCE Admissions Office to verify the specific requirements for your high school diploma, as they differ depending on the issuing country. As an agency, we help candidates get in touch with the MCE Admissions Office and guide them through this process.

The admission procedure at MCE includes the submission of written application documents, an English language assessment (both written and oral), and a multiple-choice test in Biology and Chemistry.

You do not need to have completed your high school diploma to begin the admission process — it can be done while you are still in your final year of school. The Admission Test can be taken online, on the MCE Campus in Malta, or during admission events organized by our agency.

You can easily register for the Admission Test through the Online Application Form. As an agency, we assist you throughout the entire admission process! Once you are accepted to study at MCE, the final step is to submit your application documents in the required format — for example, translated into English, certified, and apostilled. After completing this step, your application is considered fully finalized.

The Admission Test for the Medicine degree program is divided into two separate days:

Day 1: An English written and oral test consisting of Reading Comprehension (20 minutes), Vocabulary and Grammar Tests (15 minutes), Essay Writing (25 minutes), and a motivational oral interview. To pass the English test, a B2 level of proficiency is sufficient. Native English speakers are exempt from this part of the exam.

Day 2: A written multiple-choice test in Chemistry and Biology, lasting 90 minutes. The test includes 75 questions in total — 50 in Biology and 25 in Chemistry, each with four possible answers.

Application deadline: 2-3 weeks before the selected entrance examination date.

Students who wish to transfer from another university (and non-Eu candidates) should plan to take the exam as early as possible (preferably in April or max in May!), as additional time is needed to submit applications for subject recognition and credit transfers.

Each candidate can take the entrance exam for their chosen program only once per year.

The 2026 entrance exams will be held on dates: TBA

The exams are held monthly from April to September in an online format. Candidates from outside the EU are advised to take the exam in April or May. Please note: if a sufficient number of candidates pass the exam in the earlier sessions, the university reserves the right to cancel the August and September exams.

The fee for taking the medical entrance exam is apx. €500.

4. Scholarships

Scholarships for Current Students

a) Academic Excellence Scholarships – Awarded annually to the top-ranked undergraduate students of the Faculty in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.

b) Alumni Scholarships – MCE offers a 10% scholarship for the first year of study to students who have a close relative (child, spouse, or sibling) who is an MCE graduate. This scholarship applies to all academic programs offered at MCE.

To take part in the Admission Test, you only need to submit a valid passport or identity card along with the completed and signed application form.

If you successfully pass the Admission Test, you will need to send the following documents to the Admissions Office in order to complete your registration and enrollment:

• High School Leaving Certificate / Diploma / Secondary School Certificate,
• Four (4) passport-size photos,
• High school report card showing grades in Chemistry and Biology (or Natural Science),
• Eligibility letter issued by your school confirming that you are eligible to continue university studies in the country where your diploma was obtained.
